What should your business website actually cost?
It comes down to five things, and none of them is the design. Answer below and see the range for each route, with the prices people really pay in South Florida, including ours.
What each route would cost you
Selling online isn't part of the $400. The honest answer there is Shopify: about $30 a month, and it does things a custom page doesn't: charging cards, tracking inventory, handling returns. We say so even though it costs us the sale.
Online booking is included, using the free tool most businesses already use. No new platform and no monthly fee.
- Local agency $2,500 to $9,000, plus $80+ a month for maintenance. You're paying for a team behind it and a contract. Takes six to twelve weeks.
- Freelancer $700 to $2,500, one time. It depends a lot on who you get: the same job costs three times more depending on the person, and you can't always tell beforehand.
- Doing it yourself on Wix or Squarespace $200 to $400 a year, forever. The price is your time: twenty to forty hours the first time, and back in every time something changes.
- Esel Solutions $400 one time, no monthly fee, live in 72 hours. If your site needs something that doesn't fit in that, we tell you before charging you.
These ranges come from real South Florida prices in 2026, not from a list online. A quote above the range doesn't mean you're being robbed: it means you should ask what's inside it.
