Can an AI find you?

• You have your own site with your trade and city written on it An AI cites pages it can read. An Instagram profile is not one.
• Your robots.txt lets AI crawlers in Type yourdomain.com/robots.txt. If it blocks GPTBot or ClaudeBot, you are opting out without knowing it.
• Your pages answer the question in the first two lines An AI copies the short answer. If yours takes three paragraphs to arrive, it copies someone else's.
• You have local business structured data It is what tells a machine your phone and hours without having to infer them.
• Your Google listing is complete and has reviews It is still where most of the local data these systems use comes from.
• You appear in real directories or trade listings Showing up across several trusted places is what makes a model trust the data.
• You have an llms.txt Not a standard and not everyone reads it, but it costs little and does no harm.
• Your details say the same thing everywhere A different phone number in three places means no system will risk giving it out.
